Frequently Asked Questions

Can't find the answer to your question? Give us a call!

Yes! Our technicians are experienced in maintaining, repairing, and building or remodeling both types of pools and spas.

Most pool filtration systems are sized to circulate and filter the water twice in an 8-hour period. We recommend that you run your pool pump 6-8 hours in the winter and 10-12 hours in the summer. This should be done during the hottest part of the day.

We charge a flat monthly rate, instead of charging weekly like many other companies. As such, you pay for 48 weeks of service and receive 50 weeks of service. Our office closes each year for the Christmas and New Year holiday. We are only available for emergency services during this time. Your invoice for December will reflect the full monthly service charge. Please note as mentioned above; this is offset by the actual weeks of cleaning service you receive throughout the year.

No, you should never drain your pool. This is a job for a licensed, experienced and insured professional. Significant damage to the pool and property can occur without taking proper steps. If you think you need to drain your pool, call us first.

  • Keep sufficient water levels in your pool provides the important weight to hold the sides and bottom in place, especially when heavy rains that accompany most storms raise the local water table. Pools that have been emptied may experience serious subsidence problems and could even be lifted off their foundation.
  • If your pool is properly equipped with adequate drains and skimmers and the surrounding area is properly drained, the water level can probably be left as it is.
  • It is recommended that you super chlorinate the pool water. You should “shock the pool” in your normal manner. If you're not sure how to do this, give us a call.
  • It is important that all electric power be turned off at the circuit breakers before the storm hits.
  • If you cannot store loose objects such as chairs, tables, pool equipment and toys inside a building; carefully and gently place them in the pool to help shield them from the winds.
  • If you have an enclosed screen structure around the pool, damage may be avoided if you provide a “vent” for wind to escape through.

Depending on the pool, normal evaporation it is about 1/2″ to 1″ per week. When the days are warm and the nights are cool evaporation is at its highest. We do not mind consulting with existing customers if you think you have a leak. Feel free to contact us and we can explain our recommended procedure to identify excessive water loss.

The City of Tallahassee will provide you with a $200.00 rebate on your electric bill for installing an ENERGY STAR certified variable speed pool pump.
